It was all just a (publicity?) stunt. 

Yesterday, some alarming footage emerged online that appears to show CeeLo Green collapsing after a phone exploded in his hand. The CCTV footage, which you can see below, sparked concerns about Green’s wellbeing, but the singer has now calmed fears by revealing it was part of a new project he is doing.

Speaking via Facebook live yesterday, the Atlanta artist reassures that he is “alive and well and OK.” He says that “truthfully he is really upset that anybody had to be emotionally disturbed by what they saw today” and wants to “thank everyone for their support and concern.”

He goes on to explain that “what you saw today was a clip from a smaller video that we were shooting for a new project I’m doing called Gnarly Davidson. It’s supposed to set up […] and introduce the new character identity. […] I want to thank everybody for their love and support and concern.” [via Complex]
