Species of Fishes and Biogen are among those getting released on the new imprint.

Nina Kraviz is launching a new label dedicated to experimental, ambient and psychedelic music called GALAXIID.

According to a press release, GALAXIID will run as a sub-label of Kraviz’s трип imprint, which landed a spot in FACT’s best labels of 2016. As well as music, the new label will occasionally release books and will hold events.

The first releases on the label are scheduled to come from veteran Russian electronic act Species of Fishes and late Icelandic artist Biogen, who will receive a compilation of obscurities on GALAXIID with another album on трип.

Kraviz hasn’t announced release dates for any of the GALAXIID releases, but records featuring Russian psychedelic music from the ’70s and from Japan is also planned.

GALAXIID’s first event takes place at London’s Printworks venue on March 25, and sees Kraviz play a packed line-up alongside трип regular Bjarki, 808 State, Dopplereffekt, Aleksi Perala, Luke Vibert and PTU – find tickets here.
