Stormzy has covered Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo opener ‘Ultralight Beam’ as part of his new session on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

The grime MC, joined by a gospel choir and a band, delivered his own original verse.. Listen to the cover on Live Lounge’s stream starting at 2:14:30.

Stormzy previously appeared on stage with Kanye during the Brit Awards, but he said his decision to cover ‘Ultralight Beam’ was purely based on his love of the song.

“This song means a lot to me. I love the message of the song, the musicality. It’s one of my favorite songs,” he said.

Stormzy is currently gearing up to release his debut album Gang Signs & Prayer and is nominated for Best Breakthrough Artist at the 2017 Brit Awards. Watch the video for its first single ‘Big For Your Boots’.
