The return of two of the key figures in ‘90s rap.

It’s been 15 years since legendary hip-hop radio DJs Adrian Bartos and Robert Garcia, aka Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito, were last heard on air together.

This summer, though, the duo will reunite for a new regular podcast at NPR. No exact date has been set, but the station announced the news with a trailer featuring El-P of Run The Jewels. Watch the clip below:

Between 1990 and 1998, ‘The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show’ on Columbia University’s WKCR played host to some of rap’s biggest names – often way before they were big. The Notorious B.I.G., Nas and Jay Z all appeared on the show before they had released their debut albums.

Disagreements between the duo over playlists ended their partnership in 1998, but Stretch and Bobbito reconciled in 2002. In 2015, they were the subjects of a documentary named Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives, now available for streaming on demand via Vimeo, and the duo’s SoundCloud is also a treasure trove of classic freestyles from their vaults.
