US fans can now stream a star-studded documentary about Stretch & Bobbito’s hugely influential radio show on WKCR.

NYC kids Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia (aka Kool Bob Love and DJ Cucumber Slice) hosted their show from 1990 to 1998 and helped break the careers of rappers like Notorious B.I.G, Jay Z, Nas and Busta Rhymes through airing demo tapes and hosting now-legendary freestyle sessions.

After successfully crowdfunding the release of the documentary on DVD and digital formats, Stretch & Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives is now streaming on demand via Vimeo for just $5, or $13 if you want to keep it. Sadly it’s not available in the UK, but we’re hoping that will be remedied soon enough.

The documentary features interviews with many of the rappers whose lives were changed by the show, including Jay Z, Nas and Eminem. Earlier this year Stretch & Bobbito uploaded a bunch of archive recordings including some rare Jay freestyles from 1995.
