Misun describes their music as “aquawave,” but their marine-inspired EP is pop at its purest.

Misun is a Washington, DC-based trio of vocalist Misun Wojcik and DJs Nacey (production/keys) and William DeVon (guitar). Their debut EP The Sea features six songs full of summery pop hooks, sparkling keys, and shimmering guitar. Beats range from the gentle backbeat of ‘Coffee’ to the house stomper ‘July,’ and each song is a melodic tableau for Wojcik’s soulful, smokey voice. The band even reaches for the theatrical swells of Florence and the Machine on closing track ‘Dry.’
