Frank Ocean could be forgiven for resting on the orchard’s worth of laurels he’s picked up this year, but the singer continues to turn out new music.

Taking to his Tumblr earlier today, Ocean unveiled a jolly new track, titled ‘Blue Whale’. Over a twee instrumental, Ocean showcases the rap chops we haven’t really heard since his guest spot on The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2‘s ‘Oldie’; weirdly enough, his flow isn’t a million miles away from Saul Williams’ declamatory rasp. Lyrically, it’s on the same tip as channelORANGE‘s beachcomber cut ‘Sweet Life’, and Earl Sweatshirt gets a shoutout.

Ocean recently unveiled a saucy video for channelORANGE highlight ‘Pyramids’, and got a dubious respin from the other man of the moment, Flying Lotus.
