Trent Reznor’s non-NIN side gig has been given the remix treatment by motorik trio Factory Floor.

How To Destroy Angels_ (yes, that rogue underscore is intentional) sees friend of Dr. Dre Reznor collaborate with spouse Mariqueen Maandig, visual artist Rob Sheridan and regular co-conspirator Atticus Ross. Following on from an EP in 2010, the band have (somewhat controversially) signed to Columbia, and will release the An Omen_ EP in November.

Factory Floor’s remix is plucked from said EP, and it stretches out the original into a seven minute electro jam, topped off with the sound of ruptured sheet metal and heavily filtered vocals. It’s a shade more lithe than Factory Floor’s typical krautrock take-offs, bringing to mind MU’s almighty 2004 single ‘Paris Hilton’.
