For the next seven days on FACT, we’re celebrating #RaveWeek.

From legends of the dance to the provincial kids keeping hardcore alive in 2014, we’ll be running a series of features toasting rave music in all of its giddy, glorious forms.

First off, we’ve got a mix from Kevin Saunderson. One third of the celebrated Belleville Three (in short, the guys that invented, and then popularised techno – Saunderson, Derrick May and Juan Atkins), Saunderson remains one of dance music’s favourite sons, regularly playing festivals and helping hone the skills of his producer son, Danitez Saunderson.

Later this month, FACT will be co-hosting a stage at London’s Ceremony Festival (a new project by the team behind Found). We’ve got some of house and techno’s greatest ever names on it, from Saunderson’s Inner City project and pioneering DJ Todd Terry to second wave Chi-town hero DJ Sneak and skipmaster Grant Nelson. For tickets and more information about Ceremony, head over here, and get in the mood for both the festival and the (rave) week ahead with Saunderson’s session for FACT below.

For more Saunderson on FACT, check his Record Shopping episode for FACT TV.
