Recently revived post-punk/industrial/no wave legends Swans have announced a headline UK tour for October.

Fronted by the reliably confrontation-loving Michael Gira, the tour includes an already announced headline performance at Birmingham’s Supersonic Festival and shows at London’s Koko, Manchester’s Academy and Glasgow’s Arches. James Blackshaw will support on all shows.

Swans are currently in the studio recording their first full-length for well over a decade, to be released on Gira’s Young God label later in the year. The live line-up will presumably be the same as the current studio one, which comprises Michael Gira, Norman Westberg, Christoph Hahn, Phil Puleo, Chris Pravidca and Thor Harris.
