This week sees the release of two new editions in Touch‘s 7-inch series, from Lawrence English and Philip Jeck & Marcus Davidson.

Touch Sevens was launched in 2008 with the aim of celebrating and repurposing what was once the quintessential format for popular music. Entries in the series so far have come from the illustrious likes of Fennesz, Jim O’Rourke, People Like Us & Ergo Phizmiz, Chris Watson, Mika Vainio and Oren Ambarchi. Each edition is affordably priced and housed in beautiful photography and sleeve design from Jon Wozencroft.

TS09 is Incongruous Harmonies by Australia’s Lawrence English. It is comprised of two tracks, ‘Without Sanctuary’ and ‘One Thousand Miles of White’, recorded for Circa’s Regarding The Joy Of Others. Find more information on this release and listen to a sample track here.

TS10, Spliced, comes courtesy of Philip Jeck and Marcus Davidson and was recorded live at The Museum of Garden History on May 8, 2009. Jeck is renowned for his haunting, elegiac work with old records and record players; for ‘London Tenderberry’ and ‘Tenderberries Version’ he also edits and overdubs bass, and is joined by Davidson on keyboards.
