Brackles will release a new compilation, Songs For Endless Cities Vol.1, on August 31 via !K7.

It’s a collaboration with Cool In The Pool, a new !K7-affiliated imprint from Alex Waldron, one of the brains behind Greco-Roman. The label describes Songs For Endless Cities as “a new series that will be focusing on the new generation of DJs and producers who have a fresh and individual take on an ever evolving electronic scene.”

Songs For Endless Cities Vol.1 is the first commercially available mix album from 24-year-old Londoner Brackles, who runs the Blunted Robots label with Shortstuff and Martin Kemp, and also holds down a regular DJ slot at Rinse FM.

“Hearing UK Funky was really refreshing after listening to dubstep for a few years,” he says in a !K7 press release. “I still love dubstep but funky contains a lot of elements that I’d been missing since UK Garage died. It opened my eyes to all kinds of house music and I now try and fit a lot of different bits from house, funky and dubstep into my sets.”

The compilation features tracks from the likes of Flying Lotus, Floating Points, Dorian Concept, Deadboy, Roska, Breach and Funkineven, as well ‘Blo’, a new Brackles production exclusive to !K7/Cool In The Pool.
