Honest Jon’s are soon to release the Moritz Von Oswald Trio‘s Live In New York on double-vinyl and CD.

The album is comprised of four extended tracks recorded in the Big Apple at the beginning of 2010, and features guest contributions from Francois K and Carl Craig. Honest Jon’s describe the LP as “deeply dubwise throughout, with startling splashes of Sun Ra in the effects.”

The Moritz Von Oswald Trio is comprised of Moritz Von Oswald of Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound, Max Loderbauer (Sun Electric, NSI.) and Sasu Ripatti (AKA Vladislav Delay, Luomo). Their sole recorded offering to date is the album Vertical Ascent, released last year by Honest Jon’s, which combined elements of techno, dub, jazz, classical minimalism and drone.
