UK garage touchstone Zed Bias will release a new album, Make a Change, in October. It’ll be recorded under his Maddslinky alias.
Bias was the man behind ‘Neighbourhood’, one of the all time UK garage classics, and released frequently on labels like Groove Chronicles, Bingo Beats and Hospital. We don’t have a full tracklist for Make a Change, but it will be released on Tru Thoughts, and features collaborations with Skream, Mr. Scruff, Mighty Moe, Jenna G and more.
It will be preceded by a single, ‘Special’, which features vocalist Omar, and will be released on September 13 and backed with remixes by MJ Cole, Toddla T, Simbad, Chimpo and AtJazz. You can watch the video for ‘Special’ here:
In other Maddslinky news, his 2003 album Make Your Peace is going to be re-issued, with liner notes from journalist and musician Martin ‘Blackdown’ Clark, and quotes from Skream on its importance and influence on the current UK music scene.
