Barn Nova, a sub-section of the Shambala festival dedicated to maverick music-makers, has just announced its 2010 line-up.

The main attraction is a UK summer festival exclusive in Omar Souleyman, the Syrian dabke singer is currently enjoying worldwide renown thanks to a number of ecstatic concerts staged by Sublime Frequencies. We urge you not to die before you catch this man in action.

Also on the bill are free-form psychedelicists Sunburned Hand of The Man, one of the most prolific and formidable acts in the US underground, and idiosyncratic dubsteppers Bass Clef and Geiom (featuring Marita). MV and EE – signed to Thurston Moore’s Ecstatic Peace – will perform with backing band The Golden Road, AKA bass/banjo-player Mick Flower and Sunburned drummer John Moloney. There will also be a special DJ set from Finders Keepers boss Andy Votel and further live appearances from the likes of Antoni Molovvi, Snorkel, Kath Bloom, Zun Zun Egui and Dan Haywood’s New Hawks.

Shamabala takes place in Northamptonshire, UK, over the weekend of Friday 27 – Sunday 29 August. For more information and tickets, click here.
