Wifey, one of FACT’s favourite London club nights, takes over Kings Cross’s Big Chill House this Saturday, July 24.
Headlining is UK garage pioneer B15 Project. Real name Ian Wallman, he’s best known for the chart hit ‘Girls Like Us’, and played an important role in Birmingham’s UK garage scene. According to the Wifey guys, he has over 20,000 records in his collection. He won’t get time to play them all on Saturday, but the ones he does play will probably be pretty good.
In support are R1 Ryders, the West London house crew whose rampant basslines, twisted synths and rapid-fire mixing make them one of the most thrilling live acts in dance music right now, as evidenced on their forthcoming Full Throttle EP.
Also on the bill are the Wifey residents and DJ Shandy of Bristol club night Crazy Legs. The club opens at 9pm and stays open til 3am, entry is free before 10pm, £5 after. Facebook event here.
