Following Tyondai Braxton’s departure from Battles, legendary New York punk-funk originators Liquid Liquid have been announced as (replacement) headliners for ATP’s Release The Bats Halloween party at the Kentish Town Forum in London on October 30.

The New York post-punk/disco pioneers bring with them a reputation as one of the best live acts of the planet, and their percussive heavy rhythmically centred sound was no doubt a huge influence on Battles themsleves.

In support are US indie band Polvo (making an appearance as part of their ongoing comeback after a 12 year hiatus) and London trio Factory Floor, who once terrified a mild mannered roast-eating crowd at a FACT Lock Party and compiled us an excellent mix.

The rest of the line up includes Portishead side-project Beak>, The Field, Tweak Bird and a DJ set from Kompakt Records’ Walls. Anyone who attends in a fancy dress outfit relating to one of the bands will also be in with a chance of winning a trip for four to all ten days of ATP this December.
