UNKLE’s James Lavelle has curated an exhibiton titled Daydreaming, which will take place over the course of the bank holiday weekend in London.
“Inspired by the desire to marry music and visual art”, Daydreaming sees a plethora of visual artists, film-makers, musicians, designers and more take to the Haunch of Venison, Burlington Gardens. Among the featured artists are Azzi Glasser, Robert Del Naja, Jonathan Glazer and more. There’s also a toy sculpture by Lavelle called – wait for it – Toys Make Me Boylike, after the Massive Attack lyric. More details are on the Haunch’s website.
The exhibition will conclude on Tuesday with UNKLE: On Screen, an evening will feature a selection of UNKLE shorts and a screening of Odyssey in Rome, a film directed by Alex Geazioli and scored by UNKLE. There will also be a Q&A, taking the form of a conversation between James Lavelle, John Hillcoat and Alex Grazioli.
That takes place at 8pm at the Prince of Charles Cinema, Leicester Square, London. Tickets are £12.50, or £10.50 for members of the cinema.
