Dntel, one half of the Postal Service and an acclaimed producer in his own right, will release two solo EPs this December, with a reissue planned for next year.

The two new EPs, After Parties 1 and After Parties 2, will be released on Sub Pop on December 7, and represent the first full Dntel releases since 2007’s Dumb Luck album. Unlike Dumb Luck, which featured a wealth of guests including Conor Oberst, these new EPs are fully instrumental and guest free. Sub Pop are giving out two of the new cuts, ‘After Parties’ and ‘Flares’ away as free downloads, via the widget below.

Next year will see Life is Full of Possibilities, Dntel’s 2001 album, and probably the most high profile record he’s made away from the Postal Service, get the reissue treatment through Sub Pop, with an extended version promised. Maybe it’ll feature that Superpitcher remix of ‘Dream of Evan and Chan.’
