Black Dice will play live at the Dome in North London on Thursday 2 December.

Formed in 1997, the Rhode Island trio – centered around the Copeland brothers, Eric and Bjorn – are currently in rude creative health. Sure, their most recent album, Repo, was a bit of a heavy-going jumble if truth be told, but as a live entity they’re currently unstoppable. Never less than offensively loud, their performances sounds to us like nothing so much as techno filtered through a prism of noise, power electronics and the gnarliest vestiges rock ‘n roll. In other words: ideal.

Also performing are Washington drone-punks Growing, formed by Kevin Doria and Joe Denardo and these days also incorporating Sadie Laska (I.U.D.) into the mix. Their most recent album Pumps was a chilling, oblique listen, much less lairy than their previous output, and we’re keen to see how this more pensive material works in the flesh. Support comes Franco-Canadian alt-poppers Berg Sans Nipple.
