Mosca just does things differently. While half the UK decided it was ambitious to drop their tempo to 130 this year, he’s making head-snapping hip-hop close to 100, with one of the best uses of pirate radio sampling in recent memory.

Grime fans will instantly recognise Riko’s Demon-baiting monologue that opens this track (“I’m not [MC] Hyper, I’m not thirty and never lost a fight, I ‘ave lost a few fights but I will fucking shoot you bruv… run my tune”), and if they’ve got any sense they’ll go wild when it drops. As if that’s not enough, he’s managed to persuade the traditionally house and hip-hop-rooted Fat City to shell out for a remix by bassline bastard child Burgaboy. Smart trax, as our friends at Boomkat might say.
