Esteemed London auction house Phillips de Pury & Company hosts its latest annual Music sale on December 10.

The lots are viewable to all over the period December 4-10, with the Music Day Sale taking place at 5pm on December 10 with a DJ set from Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor, and the Music Evening Sale following at 7pm.

Featured items in this pageant of music-inspired art include Andy Warhol’s private collection of 52 album and record covers, 1949-87, which is expected to go for £20,000-30,000. Artists such as Damien Hirst, Christian Marclay and Tracy Emin have works for sale in the auction, and Debbie Harry, Grace Jones, Jim Morrison, Blur, Oasis and Nick Cave are among the musicians depicted.

Also for sale is a large lightbox of Stanley Donwood’s agit-pop artwork for Radiohead’s In Rainbows, and British artist Vanessa Beecroft’s large scale photographs commissioned by Kanye West for his 808s & Heartbreak album (pictured, above), which are expected to fetch a cool £25,000 each. In typical Kanye fashion, they feature lots of naked models.
