The Kontra-Musik label, home of Jason Fine and more, have announced a slew of vinyl releases from Swedish drone act Mokira, followed by an album.
The first of those releases is due out in January, a 12″ single by Ostgut-Ton/Berghain artists Marcel Dettmann with both tracks sporting “parts, samples and inspiration” from Mokira. Following this will be a new Mokira album, titled Time Axis Manipulation, and a series of three limited 10″ records, with remixes by three techno big hitters in Redshape, Silent Servant and Echospace.
Fans of the weirder side of electronic music will know Mokira from his releases on Type, Raster-Noton and more, including 2000’s acclaimed album Cliphop, released on the latter. You can check out a vintage Mokira cut below.
