Warpaint will embark on an extensive UK and Ireland tour in May 2011.

The band – made up of Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman and Jenny Lee Lindberg – have had an excellent year, releasing their debut album for Rough Trade to much acclaim.

The announcement of this new tour follows Warpaint’s support slot for The xx on their recent coast-to-coast tour and a number of sold-out headline shows around the world.

Prior to the May tour they have a couple of remaining US shows to play and also Shockwave Awards show at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on Monday 21 February. Dates are as follows:
