This week we’re giving away records from three of our 10 artists to watch in 2011.
The winner of the prize draw will receive: a 7″ copy of ‘Funeral Song’, MINKS‘ terrifically gloomy goth-pop single on Captured Tracks, the No Better 12″ EP on Hippos In Tanks from Chicago’s White Car, which meshes no wave, industrial and early acid house influences into a spry avant-pop hybrid, and the elaborately titled ‘If Anywhere was here we would know where we are’ 12″ by London duo Raime, a poised exercise in cycling, minimalist rhythm – think Shackleton wacked on Vicodin – backed with a brain-crushing yet elegiac remix by techno heavyweight and Sandwell District man Regis.
To win this bundle of superb and very different records, simply e-mail your name and the words ‘artists to watch’ to competitions@thevinylfactory.com. The winner will be notified on or before January 21.
