Wierd Records is issuing Xeno & Oaklander’s Vigils EP on vinyl for the first time.

The minimal synth duo of Sean McBride and Liz Wendelbo released their acclaimed debut LP Sentinelle last year, also on Wierd, the New York imprint that co-curated last year’s Cold Waves & Minimal Electronics Vol.1 compilation with Angular and is also home to the likes of Frank (Just Frank), Led Er Est and Automelodi. V

igils was recorded in one continuous take and originally self-released by Xeno & Oaklander as a limited edition CD-R in 2006; Wierd’s vinyl edition, out February 14, features remastered versions of the EP’s seven tracks, plus a bonus live version of ‘Blue Flower’ and a previously unavailable track called ‘Ransack’.
