We’ve always been big Cold Cave fans at FACT, but ‘The Great Pan is Dead’, the first track from new album Cherish the Light Years, took us by surprise.

Gone are the endearingly cheap, 8-bit meets synth-pop melodies of last album Love Comes Close – in fact, it’s now overwhelmingly high-res, with every element of the song pushed to the max, that it kind of sounds like the Killers.
