Matthew Dear will release an EP entitled Slowdance on April 5.

Available on CD and digital, it’s a hefty package, with four remixes of the title track plus the original as taken from Dear’s 2009 album Black City, three remixes of ‘You Put A Smell On Me’ and two remixes of ‘Little People (Black City’). All this plus Dear original ‘Innh Dahh’, previously available only as a digital bonus to Black City.

The remixers Dear has assembled are a disparate bunch: Tri Angle’s spectral R&B dandy How To Dress Well (whose version you can check out for free below), the one and only Todd Edwards, Bear In Heaven, Photocall, slow-house maestro Mark E, Sascha Dive, Nicolas Jaar and Breakbot. This will apparently be the last Black City-related release, and it’s available courtesy of Ghostly International here.
