Bloody hell, Field Day is really pulling out the stops this year…

A whole host of new additions have been announced for the 2011 edition of the festival, which takes place in London’s Victoria Park on August 6.

Jamie xx will be presenting his sinewy, emotive take on dubstep and bass-wise beat-jiggery, while James Blake performs live. Detroit techno deity Carl Craig, who’s celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Planet E label this year, will bring further class to the dance side of things, along with Kompakt’s Michael Mayer, James Holden, L-Vis 1990 and SBTRKT.

Goth torch-singer/experimentalist Zola Jesus will make a welcome return to the UK, as will Warpaint and Glasser, and there’ll be a chance too to catch About Group, the improv ensemble anchored by Hot Chip’s Alexis Taylor and This Heat’s Charles Hayward. Krautrock legends Faust are also on board.

Casper C, Tribes, The History Of Apple Pipe, Anna Calvi, Chad Vallery, Eat Your Own Ears DJs, Farnborough Concert Band Of The Royal British Legion, Givers, Huw Stephens, Connan Mockasin and Clock Opera complete the latest round of names. They join the previously announced likes of John Cale, Ducktails, Ariel Pink, Oneohtrix Point Never, Hype Williams, Matthew Dear, The Horrors, Sun Ra Arkestra, Mount Kimbie, Actress and Pearson Sound.
