Modeselektor and Ryoji Ikeda are but two of the top-notch acts appearing at SonarSound Tokyo 2011.

An Asian satellite of the main Sonar festival in Barcelona, SonarSound takes place at the ageHa Studio Coast club on April 2 and 3. German rave heavyweights Modeselektor and Raster-Noton-affiliated Ikeda join a bill that already features Flying Lotus, Kode9, Battles, DJ Krush and Seefeel.

25% of money from tickets sold for Sonar Barcelona and Sonar Galicia sold between March 23 and April 1 will go to the Japanese Red Cross, along with profits from SonarSound Tokyo and donations from artists, venue, suppliers and guests.

Other recent additions to the programme include Japan’s own Altz, Takagi Masakatsu and Open Reel Ensemble, and a Red Bull Music Academy showcase featuring the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Dorian Concept and TOKiMONSTA. The full-line up is below; you can find more information and tickets at sonar.es or sonarsound.jp (in Japanese only).
