The SunSplash Antalya festival – “Turkey’s Biggest Little Festival” – returns on May 22-29. “Little” Louie Vega has just been added to the bill of headliners.

Taking place in and around the luxurious Hillside Su Hotel in Antalya, on the Turkish Riviera, the outrageously intimate (500-capacity) SunSplash offers a breathtaking beachfront setting and basically guaranteed sunshine. The musical line-up ain’t too shabby either: as well as Vega, there are scheduled sets from Theo Parrish, Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Mad Professor, Phil Asher, Rainer Truby, Kon & Amir, Benji B, José James live and more to be announced.

New York’s “Little” Louie Vega (pictured) is one of house music’s biggest stars, renowned not just for his solo work but also his seminal collaborations with Kenny Dope as Masters At Work. His bumping, Latin-inflected productions are some of the most original and downright danceable in the dance music canon, and seem all the more relevant today in light of their influence on the likes of Joy O and Pearson Sound (who recently re-edited the B-more version of his Harddrive classic, ‘Deep Inside’). A former resident of Studio 54 and the Palladium, Vega’s DJ pedigree is second to none.

Accommodation inclusive packages for SunSplash start from £225 per person for 3 nights or £525 per person for 7 nights in a double room – including breakfast and dinner each day, use of spa, sauna, gym and all special workshops such as yoga and music seminars.
