Rome is the new album from Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi, a 15-track homage to Italian film music.

Out May 17 on Capitol, the project first seeded in 2004. Luppi and DM (real name Brian Burton) reunited musicians who performed Morricone’s original scores for The Good, The Bad And The Ugly and Once Upon A Time In The West, cutting live to tape at Rome’s legendary Forum Studios with no electronics, computers or contemporary effects. Lead vocals on the project come from Jack White and Norah Jones, their parts recorded in Nashville and LA respectively, and Morricone’s soprano of choice Edda Dell’Orso.
