You’ve got to take your hat off to the recently exhumed and reanimated R&S imprint: its current roster is pretty special.
What was once the Belgian rave hothouse of the early 90s is now a magnet for some of the best young British producers on the block, and they’re out with all guns blazing for the R&S party at XOYO on Saturday 30 April. James Blake, whose breakthrough CMYK EP was released on the label, headlines with a DJ set; also spinning are Pariah, The Chain, Bullion and the on-fire Blawan (responsible for one of the best FACT mixes of 2011 so far), while deep techno-funk maestro Space Dimension Controller plays live.
We’ve got a pair of guestlist places for this bash to give away; if you’d like to have ’em, e-mail your name and the words ‘R&S at XOYO’ to competitions@thevinylfactory.com and you’ll be entered into the draw. The winner will be notified on or before April 28.
