Britain’s favourite rave-up Glade returns for 2011, this time at a brand new venue in Bedfordshire.

The Mansion House, Old Warden Park – in the brilliantly named Biggleswade – will play host to this year’s edition of the dance festival, which is returning to its stripped-down, no-nonsense roots while also providing a line-up of cutting edge talent, mindblowing visuals and other entertainments.

The clue to the vibe of the Overkill stage can be found in its name. Treading its boards this year are ‘ardkore perennials 2 Bad Mice, techstep overlord Ed Rush, plus Luke Vibert, Koreless, Africa Hitech (Mark Pritchard & Steve Spacek), Gothtrad, among many others.

Trentemoller headlines the Glade Stage with one of his eye and ear-scorching live shows, while Drumcode presents killer techno from Adam Beyer, Slam, Joseph Capriati and Paul Ritch (live), and Global Communication reunite for one of their legendary, kaleidoscopic DK sets. Andrew Weatherall and Photek (live) are also in the house.

The brand new Beta stage debuts this year and showcases up-and-coming bass-savvy talent – among those DJs/producers confirmed are Untold, Space Dimension Controller, Om Unit, Mosca, Midland, Hyetal, Blawan, Ben UFO and Pangaea.  The full-line up for the festival’s main stages so far is listed  below.

We’re looking forward to checking out the Nanosystems, an array of smaller venues within the festival dedicated to particular musical niches and other, broader larks – from the Dance-Off Saloon to The LZRDM, expect the unexpected.
