Cubic Zirconia’s music is a damned sight easier to digest then their mouthful of a name.

In a slight departure from their bashy Night Slugs white label offering, on ‘Night & Day’ the New Yorkers go for a deeper, more sultry tech/house sound, with wonderfully louche, post-coital vocals and contributions from Bilal. Probably a paean to the relentless pace and emotional insecurity of city life, it’s coming out a little later this year on LuckyMe, it certainly whets the appetite for their UK festival appearances and upcoming album Follow Your Heart, which is reportedly already in the can.
