Revered audio-visual publishing imprint (its founders detest the term ‘record label’) Touch – home to the likes of Fennesz and Philip Jeck – has begun a new 12″ white label vinyl series.
The first release in the series (Cat no: TONE 45.1) is by Touch stalwart BJ Nilsen and is entitled, aptly enough, Vinyl. The following is the only information provided:
Recorded on location in Sweden, Iceland, Austria and England using various microphones, media and formats. Sources include wind, waves, tone generators, piano, guitar and other stuff. Mixed in Berlin 2010. Cut by Jason at Transition, 13th January 2011…Recommended nocturnal listening…
The 12″ is limited to 250 copies and purchases from the TouchShop come with a 19:52 bonus track as a 320kbps mp3.
