Fresh from announcing their new album – available from all good retailers in, er, latex mask format – Pittsburgh analogue worshippers Black Moth Super Rainbow have unveiled a new track.

‘Windshield Smasher’ is taken from the forthcoming Cobra Juicy LP, and it’s a track that marries the band’s gauzier and grittier impulses. For a couple of seconds, ‘Windshield Smasher’ could be a garage rock number, and that sense of straightforwardness persists even when the coruscating synths and vocoder hooks join the party. Still, despite the rough edge, that familiar BMSR astral quality is difficult to miss.
