Arriving in the same week as Kiss Land, the follow-up to the 2011 mixtape trilogy that made his name, the video for ‘Live For’ sees The Weeknd mooching around a dark warehouse with his mentor and on-off pal Drake, framed as an adventure in Tokyo’s urban underworld.

It’s been a tough comeback for the Toronto sleaze-peddler – one minute he’s selling fake signed box sets , the next he’s pissing off Geoff Barrow by nicking the riff from Portishead’s ‘Machine Gun’.

Kiss Land is out now and can be streamed in full here – it won’t be easy to match 2011’s House of Balloons, our favourite album of that year.
