To be honest, we’re surprised it took them so long.

Daft Punk, Disclosure, Avicii, David Guetta – the list of recent Nile Rodgers collaborators goes on and on, and now the Chic frontman has added another name to the list – Giorgio Moroder.

Rodgers revealed the link-up with the Italian disco innovator in a tweet to Rinse FM presenter Carly Wilford over the weekend, while he was hosting a talk at Amsterdam Dance Event.

That’s all the detail he’s offered for now, but both disco veterans have been enjoying a winning streak this year, with Rodgers beating prostate cancer and sailing to the top of the charts with Daft Punk and Pharrell, while 73-year-old Moroder has taken up DJing and gone back on the road.
