Video games nerds, deep breaths: you might hate this.

Kanye West is on the road to recovery after spending over a week at the UCLA Medical Center for extreme exhaustion and that includes working on new music. (Although, as long as the sun is yellow, Kanye will probably be toiling with something.)

Earlier this year, he promised a quick follow-up to his March-released LP The Life of Pablo: a second full-length called Turbo Grafx 16 and it seems like he may be back on track with that project now.

Details of that album were sparse, although studio pics of West with Lil Yachty, Migos and Tyler, the Creator, among other artists, suggested who may be working on it. As Kotaku points out, legendary producer — and Lil Yacthy beefer — Pete Rock has shared some notes about Turbo Grafx 16 on his private Instagram.

As you can make out from the screenshot, games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Super Mario Galaxy, as well as No More Heroes and other niche picks are on the list. These are not TurboGrafx16 games, but could be possible sample sources for the new album.

Rock also said that he was “playing 45s in da lab with Kanye West” so this video could possibly give us a hint about the musical influences for the upcoming album.
