As previously reported, John Foxx & The Maths release their sophomore album, The Shape Of Things, on March 19.

The new record finds august synth-pop originator Foxx continuing his collaboration with analogue nut Ben ‘Benge’ Edwards, with Hannah Peel (keyboards, violin) and Serafina Steer (keyboards, bass) lending their services for live shows.

You can read more about the album, which is rooted in a classic electronic pop tradition but sounds thrillingly contemporary, here. It comes with a bonus disc of remixes from the likes of Xeno & Oaklander, Wrangler (featuring Cabaret Voltaire’s Stephen Mallinder) and Ghost Box’s Belbury Poly.

Above, FACT premieres the ‘Poly’s mix of Interplay highlight ‘Summerland’, a beautiful interpretation that artfully bridges the two artists’ unique but complementary sound-worlds. Belbury Poly’s terrific new album, The Belbury Tales, is out on February 24 (more information on that here).
