You know how superstar DJs always moan on Twitter about how much time they spend at airports? Now, maybe, they’ll shut up.

That’s if they’re flying with Virgin Atantic, at least. The airline have built a professional grade recording studio in their clubhouse at London airport Heathrow, in order to, in the airline’s words, “cope with the demands of the numerous creative professionals and musicians who choose to fly with the airline”.

“From now on any musician in need of a place to do some last minute editing, or to indulge a creative spark”, Virgin continue, “can use the studio’s industry standard digital editing and mixings system to do so. Once finished, the tracks can be emailed or uploaded to a record company or broadcaster direct from the Clubhouse.”

They couldn’t resist a pun either, bless them, claiming that “As an airline we want to do all that we can to help every musician’s career take off.”

Interestingly, this week the first single to be edited in the Virgin clubhouse will be released. It’s by Cloud (again, they presumably couldn’t resist), and is titled ‘Free my Soul’. Airbird, Aeroplane and Still Flyin’ are presumably lined up for future releases.
