Watch Scuba review the week’s singles
It doesn’t always seem like it, but Scuba‘s been doing his thing for over a decade now.
He initiated his Hotflush label in 2003, pushing early takes on dubstep (the label would go on to release music by Joy Orbison, Mount Kimbie, Jimmy Edgar and more, and become a real force in the European house and techno market), while his own music has graduated from dubstep and jungle-influenced grit to more widescreen records like Personality and his later SCB singles. He also – as anyone who follows him on Twitter will vouch – doesn’t take any prisoners, which makes him the perfect candidate for FACT TV’s Singles Club. Whether it’s Kanye or Filter Dread, nobody’s safe.
