Channel 4 have revealed their line-up for the New Year’s Eve edition of House Party.

An ad-free party broadcast to television, never to be repeated or made available on demand, Channel 4 first introduced House Party in Summer. This second edition features Annie Mac and Charlie Sloth, who both participated in the inaugural show, and adds Toddla T, Hercules and Love Affair, Frankie Knuckles and Norman Jay. It remains to be seen whether the custom-made “ultimate DJ booth” and viewers’ ability to Tweet requests from their homes survives.

C4 Arts Commissioner Tabitha Jackson had the following to say when the New Year’s Eve date was first announced: “There couldn’t be a better night than New Year’s Eve for us once again to turn the nation’s living room into the ultimate interactive House Party. Celebrating with the best artistic talent, House Party: NYE will not only offer an innovative alternative to the usual New Year TV diet but will be the biggest and best party of the year. Pressure’s off, New Year’s Eve is already sorted.”
