He plans to finish the sets this time.

With last year’s unceremonious booting off the stage now a firm placement in the history books, DJ Shadow is about to embark on the next leg of his US tour, and with any luck these shows won’t be “too future” for any of the venues involved.

Shadow has promised that in contrast to last year’s celebration of new music from a range of artists, these 2013 shows would be more internal, giving him a chance to debut unreleased material and remix his older tracks live. Noting the problems with some of his 2012 dates, Shadow said these dates should “be hosted by venues who value the communal experience of music and high-quality sound over exclusivity and bottle service.”. Sounds like a very good idea. [via XLR8R]
