Last week, we asked our writers to pick their top 10 albums, with an emphasis on personal favorites rather than canonical favorites.

The results reminded us why we love our writers: aside from a few consensus picks (Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and Boy in da Corner), the lists covered everything from Aaliyah to Zoviet France, with nary a Beatles album in sight.

In kind, FACT’s readers took it upon themselves to offer their own top 10 picks (in what turned out to be the most civil comment section in FACT’s history). While the sum total was incredibly diverse — totaling over 500 unique picks — some consensus picks rose to the top.
