You can’t fuck with Madlib.

The Californian greenery connoisseur and record collector extraordinaire is one of the USA’s finest exports, and his catalogue speaks for itself. For someone so prolific, it’s quite unbelievable that ‘Lib’s been able to keep the quality so sky-high throughout the years but a quick flick through Lootpack’s Soundpieces: Da Antidote, Quasimoto’s The Unseen or this year’s soon to be released collaboration with Freddie Gibbs Pinata is evidence that the producer is tough to rattle.

It’s cause for celebration then that Madlib is touching down on our green and pleasant land, and showing off his enviable skills at London’s KOKO on April 19. It looks like there’ll be a bit of a Californian love-in too, Brainfeeder (and more recently Warp) rapper Jeremiah Jae and Cali exile Kutmah are also billed, and the event is rounded off by Werkdiscs’ Moiré.
