The artist’s busy schedule pushes the show to next year.

Donald Glover’s new series Atlanta was one of the biggest TV hits of last year, however fans will have a long wait to see more since the show’s second season has been pushed back to 2018, Deadline reports.

The reason for the delay is because of Glover’s extremely busy schedule. He’s currently slated to play Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars prequel and set to appear in Marvel’s new Spiderman film this summer. He is also working on new material for his musical project Childish Gambino with collaborations with Migos and Chance The Rapper potentially in the works.

The report goes on to say that Glover has also signed a new deal with FX to develop an additional TV show for the network. He will continue to star, direct, write and executive produce Atlanta. The news of the deal comes shortly after the show landed Golden Globes for Best Comedy Series and Best Actor In A Comedy Series on its debut season.
