A pulsating ’83 cold wave classic from Belgium’s Absolute Body Control

This month sees the release of Cold Waves and Minimal Electronics  Vol.1, a compilation from Angular Recordings – home to These New Puritans – celebrating the late 70s and 80s’ dark bloom of DIY synth-pop.

We’ve got hold of the opening track from the compilation for our latest Daily Download, the terrific ‘Figures’ by Belgian EBM likely lads Absolute Body Control. First released via cassette on Body Records in 1983, the track has lost none of its pulsating power – wait for the break at 2:09 and tell us you’re not in love.
