If you read FACT, you probably know that we’re big fans of Scuba.
An early piece in the dubstep puzzle, Scuba is the long-time owner of the Hotflush label, who put out early singles by the likes of Distance, Toasty and Search and Destroy, and last year graduated to crossover status with the release of debut singles by Mount Kimbie and Joy Orbison.
He’s also released one of the genre’s most underrated albums in A Mutual Antipathy (2008), one of its best mix CDs (Sub:stance, 2010) and is preparing to release one of its best albums, in Triangulation.
So as you’d expect, we’re pretty excited to be able to premier Scuba’s new video, ‘Before’, a track from the aforemention Triangulation. The video is a collaboration between Scuba and Sam Geer, and you can watch it below.
Sick.
i can't tell you with words what this song/video does to me
thank you so much for this!
oh god … so when is this gem coming out?
As stated in the article, Scuba has been around forever and is one of the innovators of the 'dubstep' sound — why it has taken so long for him to break through I'll never understand.
Large up to the man Scuba / SCB – very excited for the upcoming album, and excited for whatever HotFlush and his myriad sublabels have in store for us this year.
gREaT sTUff……way to go Sam!
